The Furnace features a speed control for the elevator, allowing the user to adjust the speed accordingly. The work is moved into the furnace with the motion mechanism and then the door is sealed shut. There are motion lights to indicate elevator movement for use when extremely slow speeds are desired. The speed measurement is electronically controlled, allowing for smooth motion and accurate, repeatable travel time.
